The Steve Jobs movie titled Jobs starring Ashton Kutcher will open in theaters on April 19, the movie’s distributor announced on Wednesday.  The indie film, which is set to debut today at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, covers Jobs’ life during the years 1971 through 2000 the time frame covers the founding of Apple, as well as his ouster, the formation of Next and Pixar, and then Jobs’ return to the company when Apple acquired Next.

The first clip for the movie was release yesterday:

Ashton Kutcher who has been known as a technology investor also plays .com billionaire Walden Schmitt in Two and a Half Men.  Steve Wozniak has already stated the movie’s first scene is “not close” and “totally wrong.”  Ashton Kutcher is already being compared to Noah Wyle as he played Steve Jobs in the movie Pirates of Silicon Valley most people have said Wyle played the perfect Steve Jobs he had the look, attitude and made the character believable.

We still have sometime before the movie releases in theaters, I myself am very curious to see what other trailers we see over the next few months as this may persuade me to see the movie.

We have not been following the John McAfee story at all so I figured we would announce his possible capture yesterday (December 2).  This whole thing started on November 12th when John McAfee, who started the antivirus software giant named after him, was accused of murdering his neighbor in Belize and was wanted for questioning.

McAfee has a long and troubled history and has been known to be a little paranoid at times.  His blog www.whoismcafee.com has been following him threw his whole on the run incident.  They guy is on the run and takes time to blog.  Kevin Mitnick on his twitter offered advice

On November 16^th McAfee asked a message board of users how long it takes to be traced by phone.  On November 17th McAfee gave up a fake location. Then on November 19^th John McAfee blogs for justice, and issues $25,000 reward for those responsible in death of Gregory Faull.  He stated if he’s captured, he has pre-written enough content to keep his site alive for at least a year and that he has set aside a reward of $25,000 for those really responsible.

A posting on John McAfee’s blog has claimed the anti-virus software pioneer, wanted by police over his neighbor’s murder, appears to have been found after weeks in hiding.  The website set up by McAfee after he went on the run said there was an unconfirmed report that he was apprehended on the Belize-Mexico border.

McAfee Was Not Captured and continues to be on the run.

The guys at 4chan had a little fun making a picture that went viral saying that when PSY video Gangnam Style hit counter reached a billion hits on YouTube the end of the world would happen.  The picture featured Nostradamus saying:

“From the Calm Morning, the End will come When of the Dancing Horse the Number of Circles Will be G”

Korea is called the country of the calm morning.  PSY gangnam style is a horse dance. The 9 circles, as in 1 000 000 000 views. The picture spend all day on the front page of Reddit on Wednesday and got reposted on many forums and social media.

4chan is known for funny stunts like this some people took it seriously who are not familiar with the 4chan sight.  Remember just because its on the internet does not make it real.

This is people just uninformed and trying to invoke fear into others.

Budget.gov has even quoted the President

“We built this budget around the idea that our country does best when everyone gets a fair shot does their fair share, and plays by the same rules.”

There is another message on whitehouse.gov saying

“We now face a make-or-break moment for the middle class and those trying to reach it.”

I urge everyone to read the facts and come to your own conclusion and do not be scared by rumors of uniformed social media users that are trying to scare you.  I am not saying there will or will not be another 2011 debt ceiling scare I am just asking you to formulate your own decision, and not to be scared or believe everything you see on any social media platform.

Syfy has greenlit and has filmed the first season of a new show where eight-foot-tall state-of-the-art humanoid robots will battel in a boxing cage until one is defeated. The new series is called Robot Combat League WWE Chris Jericho will host the show. Just like the movie Real Steal the bots will be controlled by shadow-boxing operators whose movements are translated into metal-on-metal punches.

Syfy president Mark Stern made a statement:

“It has always been our desire and it’s really come around perennially to update and do Battle Bots for the new century. Can we do Real Steel? Are we at a place where you can do real bipedal robots? Every time we tried to to do it the project was stymied by the technology.” 

The 2012 election results are in and President Barack Obama will be our president till 2016.  President Barack Obama won the popular vote by 2,548,473 and the electoral vote by 97 votes making this a very close election.  After the election had concluded Mitt Romney made speech congratulating the President on his reelection and saying his prayers were with him as he continues to run our country.

President Obama made a speech as well saying he will go forward with his plan to improve and make America a better place.  Saying we are not just red and blue states but the great United States of America despite religion, race or sexuality.  The speech was very powerful and I think will even impress Mitt Romney supporters.

I was rather surprised at how close the election was I personally did not think the popular vote would have been a 2 percent margin.  I believe our President will have another rough term he is still dealing with a struggling economy, and slow rate of change.  President Obama is our president but strong negative support from American’s is something he is going to have to deal with over next four years, as almost half of the country did not want him as president for another 4 years.

Despite all the negativity Barack Obama is our President and our prayers and support are with him over the next four years.

A friend of mine pointed out that he had just built a Street Fighter Mame gaming cabinet with a 42 inch screen and 2 controllers his goal was to create the ultimate Street Fighter rig to relive his child hood.  For those of you who are like me that had no clue what a Mame Cabinet is I have seen it and I am going to eventually make some time to build one but just to give you an idea of what I am talking about.

I never realized how elaborate you can get with this some people have the trackballs 4 controllers just over the top type cabinets.  My friend dropped a computer inside of his cabinet so he could play multiple roms.  Very cool and good luck to my friend Andrew.

As of Friday, Sept. 21 Neflix lost A&E and the History channel this is the biggest loss in content since the loss of Starz and Encore.  The loss in content represents more than 40 shows and 800 hours on content.  Netflix has made a comment in saying the viewer ship and demand did not match up to the licensing cost.

Shows no longer available via streaming are:

• Pawn Stars
• American Pickers
• Dog the Bounty Hunter
• Gene Simmons: Family Jewels
• Hoarders and Intervention

With Netflix loosing and cutting content, users may decide to take their streaming business elsewhere. Unfortunately for the company who pioneered streaming has A LOT of competition including

• Amazon Prime
• Hulu
• HBO
• Redbox – Verizon
• Blockbuster

These are just to name a few I am sure if we search we can come up with a lot more.  The one edge that Netflix has which it CANNOT loose is it has a client for almost any device, TV or gaming console.  Which is one of the reasons why I think the company has hung on and is still one of the biggest players in the game.

For Netflix sake I hope they have their direction back and do not make any more bad decisions like Quickster.  I have to say being a Netflix user myself even though they have lost a lot of content they have added as well.
